My morning gift to myself..

One of the best things I have ever done for myself is keeping a journal and finding half an hour every morning with a coffee to reflect on life and the universe.

After exercising – at about 9am I treat myself to a coffee in the local coffee shop and sit with my journal.  I reflect on what is going well in my life – and how to get more of that.  I give thanks for what is beautiful – in January seeing the first snowdrop of the year!  I think about what I want to achieve in the day ahead.  In the front of my journal are my goals for the year – each day I make sure I do at least one small thing to take me towards my goals.  This time with myself makes me feel good – worthwhile – happy.
